Sharone Pasternak Cines is an attorney in the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice, where she advises individuals and families on estate planning, estate and trust administration, probate proceedings, and related fiduciary matters. Drawing on over a decade of experience in federal regulatory law and a foundation in social work, Sharone brings a thoughtful, client-centered approach to navigating complex personal and financial issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Sharone served as a General Attorney in the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of the General Counsel, where she advised on statutory compliance, administrative law, and interagency coordination. Her government tenure included drafting and interpreting federal regulations, responding to congressional inquiries, and compliance related issues.

Sharone’s background in social work and education informs her ability to counsel clients with empathy and precision, particularly in sensitive family and intergenerational matters. Her practice emphasizes clarity, practicality, and tailored solutions designed to meet each client’s unique goals and values.

Sharone earned her J.D. and Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was recognized for academic and oral advocacy excellence. She is admitted to the Maryland Bar.
