Mr. McParland’s practice also includes a substantial transactional component. He drafts and negotiates commercial and residential lease agreements, amendments, and assignments, purchase and sale agreements, management agreements, community association bylaws, housing policies, and a variety of other documents in connection with real estate and general business matters. As a result of his deep knowledge and experience, clients and other lawyers regularly call on Mr. McParland to assist in devising innovative solutions to complex and often frustrating landlord and tenant, real estate, and business matters. He has performed comprehensive reviews and revisions of lease contracts in the wake of legislative and judicially mandated changes in residential housing laws; devised a regulatory-compliant scheme to expand the availability of public housing programs for the homeless; and recovered real property from recalcitrant family members in disputed estate cases.

Mr. McParland has established an extensive track record of providing cost-effective and results-driven solutions to his clients’ problems. He takes a personal interest in every case, which makes it easy for him to go to battle for his clients. Originally a native of Long Island, New York, Mr. McParland has called Maryland home since 1974.
