After 40+ great years with the firm, Laurence H. Berbert retired from BBS&G in 2022.
Mr. Berbert earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and he received his J.D. degree from the George Washington University National Law Center in Washington, D.C. After law school, he joined Douglas M. Bregman, P.A. as its first associate in 1982, later formed a partnership with Mr. Bregman and Timothy P. Schwartz in 1988, and ultimately saw the firm grow and evolve into the present day Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLC.
Mr. Berbert’s career focused on commercial landlord-tenant law and commercial leasing, and included drafting lease agreements, amendments, assignments, and termination agreements; interpreting and enforcing landlords’ rights through litigation or alternative dispute resolution; and representing landlords’ interests throughout the bankruptcy process.
