Katherine Wilson’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation. She represents clients in litigation related to real estate, business disputes, contract actions, fraud claims, landlord-tenant disputes, and a wide variety of other matters. Ms. Wilson’s litigation experience includes representing large commercial property owners in complex real property disputes; defending real estate developers against allegations of fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, and conversion; defending a healthcare company in a multi-week arbitration over corporate control, corporate minority oppression, and corporate mismanagement; and representing individual plaintiffs in claims related to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.

Prior to joining Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, Ms. Wilson served as an Assistant Attorney General and Ruff Fellow in the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia’s Office of Consumer Protection.

  • Representative Experience
    • Successfully defended a commercial property owner in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Maryland against prescriptive, express, and implied easement claims brought by neighboring landowner/developer seeking declaratory and injunctive relief after a multi-day trial involving fact and expert testimony related to historical land records, surveys, access rights, and chains of title.
    • Successfully defended limited liability company (LLC) members in JAMS arbitration involving claims of diversion of company assets, breach of fiduciary duty, oppression of an LLC member, and gross negligence.
    • Successfully prosecuted claims for breach of a commercial lease and guaranty on behalf of a prominent commercial property owner in Montgomery County, Maryland, and obtained summary judgment in client’s favor on all counts.
