Kathleen Slawta concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial real estate transactions, general corporate and business representation, and estates and trusts. Her practice entails commercial lease and contract negotiation and general business, corporate and professional organization representation. She represents a wide variety of clients including commercial landlords and tenants, charitable foundations, corporations, start-up businesses and individuals.  Ms. Slawta's estates and trusts practice involves the drafting of such documents as wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, general durable powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney and related documents and the probate and administration of estates.

Ms. Slawta is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland , the State of New Jersey , the State of Texas and the State of Pennsylvania .   She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Maryland State Bar Association .

Ms. Slawta joined Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday in 2005 and has been in private practice, in several states, since 1984.  In 1982, Ms. Slawta served as a law clerk to the Honorable James J. Hunter, III, (Deceased), United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. 

Ms. Slawta received her B.A., in English from Villanova University in 1981 and her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1984.
